Ken Kanwisher: Keyboards-Cello

Ken has been a full-time musician since he graduated from Humber College's music program in the seventies. His work as a bassist is well known in his hometown of Ottawa and he is one of the first call musicians in town. He has played upright jazz bass with a who's who of Ottawa talent as well as many well-known names passing through town.

Kenny is a regular in a number of bands and fronts his own jazz ensemble The Sugar Sticks. For the last decade he has played electric bass for platinum recording artist Charlie Major, and is also a regular in Ian Tamblyn's bands and records.

Along with his impressive resume and credentials playing bass, Kenny has also been playing cello and keyboards for a number of years and is becoming more known in those ventures. The Rebel Wheel is excited to have him lend his prodiguous talents and musical knowledge to its new line-up.
